I'm searching for 40 women over the age of 40 who are ready to step in front of the camera and claim their story. Each session will be tailored to your specific story and then we will bring all of the stories together in a beautiful exhibition, celebrating all the participants!

My name is Karissa Van Tassel. I am 47 years old and a portrait photographer. I have been a professional photographer for 15 years and love working with women to capture and tell their stories. I've been inspired by the power and resiliency of the women I've photographed and can't wait to bring those stories together in a single exhibition. I truly hope you join us!
I started my portrait and photography business because I wanted to give my clients a chance to see themselves in a new light. This special series does that- and so much more.

The goal of this series is to empower others by sharing your stories, so we will capture some behind-the-scenes photos during the session, and do a video interview about what this stage of life means to you. Your story will be used to showcase the portrait series at the 40-Over-40 Portrait Experience exhibition and in promotional materials, including on our website, blog and social media platforms.
